Cyber Monday 2010 - A Sign of the Future?

As we get ready to embrace a new decade, technology is ever-advancing. Therefore, the people who will be the beneficiaries of that technology must advance as well. As a case in point, the initial returns on the 2010 version of Cyber Monday appear to be quite positive. According to STLToday.com, Cyber Monday sales are ahead of last year's pace, and could turn out to be the single biggest shopping day of the entire calendar year.

Analysts have even gone as far as to say that the numbers could eclipse $1 billion. After all, just this past Thanksgiving Day - some 5 days ago, online sales were at $407 million, a 28% jump. Try $607 million the next day.

While online sales are still at only 8-10%, don't be fooled into thinking that's a number that will stay the same. At the end of 2009, online shopping sales were at roughly 3 percent. As we talked about in the beginning, when technology changes, the people are forced to change along with it. It looks as though the future is just beginning. Take advantage of the curve, before it shoots by you.
